its pretty obvious that this blog has pretty much disintegrated. the truth is not much interesting happens and i post more of my pics on flickr. well ive started a new photo project called The RangeFinder Diaries. its based around my canonet QL-17 GIII camera and am hoping will get me to go out and shoot randomly more often. ive pretty much been carrying it around whenever i can and taking shots of the things around me. even with the project just at the beginning, im really loving it. so make sure you check out my new blog often, ill be updating it often with new stuff. i promise!

yea this blog is pretty much a lost cause but i figured id update anyway.

since the last post, school has started. we got our 5d mark 2 cameras which are ridiculous along with a 24-70 f/2.8L lens. me and my room mate are mad close and get along really well. we have a good crew going and have met a lot of cool people. school is going to be a lot of work but i knew that when i signed up. me and caiti are doing amazing and i cant wait till i can see her again. our house is still awesome, especially after discovering where certain smells where coming from.

im sure no one has been keeping track, but its been almost a month since my last post. wish i could say theres a reason but im just been lazy.

im officially moved into my new home for the next 11 months and it is amazing. the place is bigger than i remembered. my room is even bigger than mine back home.

ive actually had a lot going on recently so heres a little recap.

my warped tour pictures have been getting a lot of attention. they have been used a number of sites and my underoath picture may be published in AMP magazine which would be awesome.

ive done a couple shoots including one with my friend autumn and jasons moms wedding, which was a great experience and the pictures came out great.

mostly ive just been getting ready to move which took a lot more work than i thought. so much to remember. we got a 14 foot uhaul truck and pretty much filled it. i got to spend sometime with my friends and caiti before leaving which was a great time. i really miss everyone back home. me and my mom ended up driving up in my car and had a great trip. my room mate is mad chill and we get a long well which make this a whole lot easier. weve done a lot of stuff to set up the house and im really proud of the place.

im actually heading home tomorrow to spend the last week with caiti before she goes away to school too. just being away a week makes me miss her, its gonna really suck when we are away for a year. i really cant wait to see her.

ill tryyy to update this more. seeing as all ive been doing up here is driving around and watching movies. above is a pic i took of my room mate during one of our explorations around town. thats on a railroad bridge thats about 150 feet off the ground.

these past few weeks have been pretty interesting

spent a few days in lbi at angies beach house and had more fun than ive had in a while. got terrible sunburn though. put in my last day of work, so as of august first i am DONE! can not wait. its probably the fact im anxious to leave but i cant stand that place anymore. im gonna miss everyone though.

this past weekend has been nuts. friday me and jay went to warped tour. through his moms connection with trojan we got vip and press passes. this was the first time we’ve been to the camden warped and it was actually set up pretty well. we caught a lot of really good set and i got some pretty decent pics. the weather was pretty crappy all day so it didnt help. POS was my favorite set of the day. he did his whole set on a box in the middle of the crowd and i was right there taking pics the whole time. about 8 oclock it down poured so we cut our losses and bolted for the car.

saturday i was lucky enough to get the midnight shift at work.

on friday i had spoken to the guy who hooked us up with passes about possibly going sunday and he gave me his number to call and he’d hook me up. i got up early and trekked to oceanport. the weather was absolutely amazing. i called the guy up and he came out with the passes. sunday was muchhh better to shoot and i got some of the best live shots of my life. i ran into a bunch of people i knew through out the day and chilled with my boy ryan krueger a majority of the time, hes a sick photographer too, look him up. after the show i was invited to the after party bbq and got to chill with all the bands which was pretty sick. to be honest though i was more excited about the food since i hadnt eaten all day.

among other news i got tickets to see brand new and glassjaw in long island on november 28th. this has to be the best line up ever put together. its gonna be amazing and so worth the drive. my warped tour pictures are getting a lot of attention, i still need to send them all out to the bands and what not. that shit takes forever! i had also wanted to ride my bike today for the first time in a while and of course the weather is shit.

on another note, why is it now that i realize how many people im gonna miss when i move?

wow i really wish i had something new to say. its seriously been the same old shit day after day. i just saw on the news that we had had 4 dry days in a months time. can anyone else even comprehend how shitty that is? its seriously getting depressing. every day is gray and wet. the urge for something new is getting worse and worse. i just cant wait to move and move on. i have barely even picked up my camera, i have an overwhelming feeling that ive literally shot the crap out of everything around here. i miss the beach, the city, and the sun. this summer needs to shape the fuck up.

i notice i start every post with “its been a while” but its always the truth, sorry.

the whole vicky situation is completely shitty. i literally havent spoken a word to her since early morning the day after we hung out. i really wish i knew why. this isnt the first time someone has done this to me. i just dont understand how someone could say all the things like she said to me, and act the way she did then completely cut all communication like that. its hard not the think that theres something wrong with me that would cause that kind of treatment. its fucking me up.

i really havent clicked the shutter on my camera for weeks. i have some ideas, but no real motivation to actually do it. i got my tattoos last friday. i got “fight off your demons” in script across my chest and got my diamonds finally redone and filled in. everything came out really well and they are healing nicely.

im thinking of doing another life purge. if you dont bring anything positive into my life, consider yourself dead. better get to it.

wow i havent been doing to good keeping up with this.

greg came home last week so it was good to chill with him again. he already left to go work in AC for the summer so hopefully ill get the chance to go down there and visit. been riding my bike a lot still, actually just got home from an early ride with dave.

saturday i had taken off work to shoot daves brother rob, who is a cartoonist. he does some great work which you can check out here http://www.skatoonproductions.blogspot.com/
he wanted some press shots to have so thankfully the weather worked out. we started out at the cement plant across from acme and then went to lambertville and got a few more shots. we finished up in princeton universitys chapel which was an awesome place, minus all the asians hanging out. we got some really good stuff that we are both happy with, which is all we could ask for due to the less than perfect weather.

yesterday i drove up to hang out with vicky. the ride wasnt too bad at all besides the always busy turnpike. it was awesome to see her! we went to the garden state plaza which is one of the most redic malls ever. then we hit up best buy with my 25 dollar coupon so i bought fallout 3. we took taco bell back to her house and watched wet hot american summer which is def one of my favorite movies. she also preceded to fall asleep on me lol. it was a really great time, i just hope i dont have to wait weeks to see her again.

i actually have time to be productive today before so i think i might put my books up on amazon.

not really sure what to write, just figured i should probably update.

bamboozle was a bust, well in the photo department. i get there and my names not on the list, made a few phone calls and found out that bamboozle hired their own photographers to cover it exclusively, cutting every one else with out notice. so i got to carry around all my shit all day. it was a pretty nice day other wise. it got pretty hot out and the bands were good. sunday was extremely wet and miserable. i found a bag for my phone so thats really all i cared about. once we were soaked it didnt really matter that it was raining anymore. i saw the ataris for the first time since warped 03 who were really good. acacia strain was the best set of the day, people pretty much got murdered.

today my tire blew out on my bike, and i had a long walk home. i got it fixed and hopefully be able to ride it tomorrow. ended up at the bar tonight with angie and some others, it got sloppy.

oh yea, somebody has been making me happy lately ;]

this should be a short post. just a few updates.

my new bike was finished yesterday! its such a different ride. the crank is further back with a more aggressive gear ratio. it got wider tires and is much smoother. alex picked me up and dropped me off at the bike place, and i rode it back to his house. we rode to acme like usual for my paycheck. we tried to go to carvel for free iceberg but of course we get there at 2:15 and the offer doesnt start till 3.

work was alright but we all went out to wildflowers afterward and dave came too which was a blast. dave fit in well with the group and he had a good time too. people bought me too many drinks lol. we went to the diner after and got some wraps.

hopefully the weather holds out so me and dave can ride bikes. and more importantly i hope the weather holds for bamboozle this weekend. thats gonna be miserable if its pouring the whole time. apparently i have a photopass for saturday which is sick. i hope theres no bullshit at the door like there always is.
